Privacy

Overview

Island X (“we”) respects your privacy. The app is a local macOS productivity tool. By default, todos, notes, settings, and media metadata stay on your Mac. We do not run user accounts and do not sell personal data.

Data we process

May include: settings (UserDefaults); local todos and notes; Calendar/Reminders data when you enable sync; camera frames for Mirror (local preview/clipboard only); Photos library thumbnails (read-only); now-playing metadata via MediaRemote; coarse IP location or a city name you enter for weather.

Third parties

Weather uses Open-Meteo and optional IP lookup services. AI requests go directly to providers you configure with your own API keys. Downloads and updates may be served via Cloudflare R2 / Pages.

Permissions

Requested as needed: Automation, Calendar, Reminders, Camera, Photos, Network. You can revoke access in System Settings anytime.

Children & tracking

Not directed to children under 13. No cross-app tracking advertising identifiers.
